About The Position

We are seeking individuals who are motivated to learn, compassionate in their approach to helping others, and eager to grow their knowledge in community-based behavioral health services. In this role, you will support the delivery of community-based mental health services by assisting with client engagement, treatment plan activities, and coordination with families and community partners. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help individuals develop the skills and support networks needed to thrive in their communities. Through observation, participation, and guided learning, you will gain exposure to evidence-based practices and real-world service delivery while helping clients work toward their personal recovery and wellness goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or another human services-related field; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with two (2) years of related work experience; or
  • Any four-year combination of higher education and two (2) years of related work experience; or
  • Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support from an approved institution; or
  • Four (4) years of qualifying experience providing services to individuals with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of case management and rehabilitation principles related to mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Understanding of community resources and services available to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including producing clear and accurate documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining organized communication with team members.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Successful completion of background checks including criminal history, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint screening.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to transport clients when necessary.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle.
  • Must be at least twenty-three (23) years of age to operate a company-owned fifteen (15) passenger van.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of community-based mental health services for children, adolescents, and/or adults through engagement, intervention activities, and skills development.
  • Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans that promote personal growth, independence, and recovery goals for clients.
  • Facilitate or support psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) group sessions aligned with client treatment plan objectives.
  • Apply strengths-based approaches and evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed strategies, and CBT/DBT-informed skill building.
  • Coordinate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to support comprehensive care for clients.
  • Help clients build coping skills and daily living strategies that promote resilience and community stability.
  • Document client interactions, services provided, and progress in accordance with program and organizational standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing training to enhance service delivery.
  • Contribute to program quality improvement efforts through participation in data collection, evaluation, and reporting initiatives.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with internal staff and external partners to ensure coordinated and effective support for clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or department leadership.
