About the position

The Photography and Video Marketing Assistant position is a student role reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only. The assistant will work with external community service partners and will be responsible for capturing engaging videos and photos to support the creative marketing process both inside and outside the clinic, as well as within the community at various events. The role involves maintaining a consistent identity for the clinic by adhering to brand guidelines while fulfilling marketing requirements. The assistant will think creatively to develop a robust video and photo library for both printed and digital content, manage the clinic's social media calendar, and curate content for events, campaigns, and other projects. The work schedule is flexible, depending on student availability, with supervisor and work site availability from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. Some responsibilities can be accomplished remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in working with external community service partners.
  • Capture engaging videos and photos to support the creative marketing process.
  • Maintain a consistent identity of the clinic by following brand guidelines.
  • Develop a robust video and photo library for printed and digital content.
  • Manage the clinic's social media calendar.
  • Curate social media content for events, campaigns, and other projects.
  • Plan, organize, and implement community services or programs.
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Provide excellent customer service to constituents.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information.
  • Prepare and present information in a group or workshop setting.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.

Requirements

  • Must be awarded Work-Study through Financial Aid.
  • Must maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Outstanding professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to use good judgment and exercise discretion.
  • Proactive approach to work and conflict resolution.
  • Proficient in photography, video, and editing for social media and website.
  • Experience with Google Suite.
  • Must be organized, disciplined, dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and flexible.

  • Interest in public health, community service, topics of generational poverty, systems of racial inequality, social justice, human or animal health, collective community impact, or animal welfare.
