About The Position

Requirements

• A practicing artist, designer, illustrator, or animator
• Experienced teaching students in an art studio and digital lab setting (1+ year preferred)
• Comfortable working with a range of ages from upper elementary through high school
• Skilled in digital platforms a wide variety of art techniques and current industry tools
• Passionate about helping students build both technical skill and creative confidence
• Engaging, organized, and student-centered
• Aligned with our mission to transform art education
• BFA or BS in Digital Art, Graphic Design, Animation, Art Education, or related field required

Nice To Haves

• MFA or Master’s degree is a plus

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging weekly studio and digital art classes for students in grades 3–12
• Guide students to create high quality studio and digital art.  Using  Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate), digital drawing tablets, graphic design, digital illustration, animation and a wide range of studio art techniques.
• Support middle and high school students in developing portfolio-quality work
• Introduce creative problem-solving, visual storytelling, and design thinking
• Foster a studio culture that encourages experimentation, critique, and growth
• Communicate thoughtfully with families about student progress and creative development
