The G/FORE studio photographer is responsible for executing high-quality e-commerce photography that consistently meets brand standards and production timelines. This role is critical to ensuring all product imagery is accurate, elevated, and scalable across digital channels. This position requires strong technical expertise in studio lighting and the ability to confidently direct models and subjects, ensuring the foundation of G/FORE’s visual standards remains strong and consistent. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of studio workflows.

Requirements

  • Strong studio lighting and technical photography skills for both on-figure and still life shoots.
  • Strong understanding of post-production workflows, including color management & theory.
  • Ability to direct models & subjects with clear, confident communication.
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard for image consistency and quality.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt, collaborate, and receive feedback constructively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment with shifting priorities.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills; this role will work closely with the Product Development, Web, and Creative teams.
  • Organized, dependable, and capable of managing daily shoot volume efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Capture One, Global Edit (or similar tools), and Adobe Suites.
  • Comfortable working in Microsoft Suites Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Monday, Asana, or similar.
  • Degree in Photography, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional photography experience, preferably in studio or e-commerce in fashion or consumer product.
  • A solid portfolio demonstrating creative and technical expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of studio workflows, asset management, and post-production handoff.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to consistently deliver high-quality studio imagery at scale.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Capture One, Creative Force, Global Edit, or comparable studio management.

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-volume e-commerce photography in a fast-paced studio environment ensuring all assets meets branding and technical standards.
  • Maintain consistent lighting and image quality across categories and seasons.
  • Collaborate with in-house photo studio team to align on shot lists, priorities, and daily production goals.
  • Ability to receive creative direction from creative production team and cross-functional partners and implement revisions.
  • Set, test, and refine studio lighting setups for e-commerce and occasional marketing requests.
  • Ensure accurate file naming, organization, and handoff to post-production teams.
  • Studio maintenance: cleaning, organizing, maintaining the studio & equipment, conduct routine testing, and flag technical issues proactively.
  • Update lighting set up and any related technical information on studio guideline book as needed.
  • Uphold studio workflows, efficiency targets, and quality benchmarks as production volume scales.
  • Proactively identify and test workflow improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Casting: collaborate with Creative Production on model casting and support the selection process to ensure alignment with G/FORE’s brand aesthetic.
