Position Summary: This position will set up, tear down and operate the stuffers as well as all related equipment.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.
  • Ability and willingness to use both hands to work.
  • Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
  • Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
  • Ability and willingness to distinguish between shades and/or colors.
  • 3 months of work history with the same employer

Nice To Haves

  • Machine Operator experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • RF Scanner experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate all stuffers and related equipment.
  • Keep the tables and conveyors full of meat at all times.
  • Twirl product while stuffing.
  • Use the proper equipment and the correct size linker while stuffing.
  • Assist in cleaning metal detectors.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
  • Maintain general manufacturing practices.
  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.
