About The Position
re:fab is onboarding finish carpenters for a commercial project in Blacksburg VA Job Type: Subcontractor Pay: Competitive – based on experience & scope About re:fab: re:fab is a growing painting and renovation company serving commercial and residential clients throughout the east Coast. We specialize in renovation, repainting, interior improvements, and construction services across a wide range of industries. Our team manages projects that require strong coordination between field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. As a member of our team, you’ll take on a wide variety of projects. We do have an immediate need for an upcoming commercial project in Blacksburg, VA
Requirements
- Professional Finish Carpentry experience (2+ years)
- Residential framing & remodeling experience (required)
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and plans
- Knowledge of commercial construction practices
- Own tools + reliable, insured truck or van
- Workers’ Comp & General Liability Insurance
- Auto & disability insurance
- OSHA 10 (required)
- Strong communication & customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
Responsibilities
- Install windows, doors, trim, cabinets, molding, partitions, etc.
- Perform commercial and residential remodel tasks
- Read and work from blueprints, plans, and project specifications
- Collaborate with estimating and operations teams
- Cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other building materials
- Maintain accurate measurements and quality workmanship
- Complete daily logs and project updates
- Follow local building codes and company safety procedures
