About The Position

Major Broadway theatre owner-operator seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and personable individuals with a friendly demeanor, strong communication, and superior customer service skills to join the Front of House team as Substitute Ushers. Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule including Wednesday matinees, nights, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidates for these positions will have a very strong work-ethic, a minimum of one (1) year prior experience working as an Usher or serving in a customer service environment, and the ability to work as a team player. This role is a key member of our team in fulfilling our mission to create a magical Broadway theatre experience for both patrons and producers. Customer service is at the center of Nederlander’s operations. Greeting and assisting patrons in a welcoming and friendly manner creates the magical Broadway theatre experience that creates lifelong memories and returning Broadway fans. We achieve this by working to assist and address each patron who enters our buildings. Majority of work hours will occur in the evening, with Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoon shifts available, depending on performance schedule. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays is preferred. Hours are on a substitute basis with no minimum hour guarantee. Benefits and pay as governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement held with Local 306. Successful applicants will be required to make application to the union within 30 days of start. Base pay: $92.99 per 4.5 hour performance shift.
