About The Position

Replications Inc. seeks a dynamic, dedicated, and creative Success Mentor with experience in youth development, education, and social-emotional wellness to support high school students. The Success Mentor will collaborate closely with school faculty, administrators, students, and families to foster a positive, inclusive school culture that promotes consistent attendance, academic progress, credit accumulation, and social-emotional growth. The Success Mentor plays a critical role in strengthening school climate through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), restorative practices, and targeted student interventions. This position supports schoolwide initiatives, leads PBIS programming, and provides individualized daily or weekly check-ins for students who require additional academic, behavioral, or attendance support.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience working with high school–aged youth
  • Strong communication, writing, organizational, and technology skills
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in positive youth development, SEL, and restorative practices with adolescents
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school administrators, counselors, deans, and teaching staff
  • Strong family engagement skills, including navigating sensitive and high-stakes student situations
  • Working knowledge of PBIS, SAVE legislation, and NYC DOE disciplinary frameworks
  • Experience coordinating school-based events and student engagement initiatives
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through on administrative responsibilities
  • Experience working in NYC public high schools and familiarity with the NYC Community Schools Initiative preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to implement administrative policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Passion for working with students in under-resourced schools

  • High school diploma with three (3) years of relevant professional experience or a degree in a related field with two (2) years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with school leadership and staff to lead and implement the PBIS program and support schoolwide initiatives
  • Attend and contribute to weekly PBIS and student support meetings; provide turn-key strategies and tools to staff
  • Partner with students and staff to design and deliver monthly PBIS campaigns, incentives, and schoolwide activities
  • Provide individual and small-group SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) support aligned to adolescent development
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate student mediations and restorative conferences
  • Use attendance, behavior, and credit data to identify students for targeted interventions
  • Support students with attendance improvement, engagement, and credit recovery efforts
  • Address minor classroom management and school culture concerns, following the ladder of discipline and PBIS protocols
  • Collaborate with administrators, counselors, and deans to support hallway, classroom, and transition periods
  • Assist with planning and coordinating schoolwide and after-school events that promote positive culture and student voice
  • Support restorative justice initiatives to build and sustain a trauma-informed, restorative school culture
  • Collaborate with DOE and Department of Health behavior specialists and community-based partners
  • Analyze student data trends to inform adjustments to PBIS and intervention strategies
  • Progress monitor Tier 1–3 PBIS systems and individualized student plans
  • Support postsecondary readiness efforts, including mentoring related to goal setting, self-advocacy, and accountability
