About The Position

The RAPID Prototyping Lab at Argonne works across many projects and collaborations. These projects span 3 directorates, and 5+ labs. As such, we are constantly coordinating between different groups and managing information and knowledge flow. While we are doing our best to handle these responsibilities, we do not have a formal process for collecting and documenting information and knowledge around these various labs. We believe a student with an interest in process engineering would be able to observe our current workflows, and find ways to better document and make available the new information we encounter on a regular basis. In addition to this task, the student would also be encouraged to pursue technical tasks they find relevant and interesting, including in Robotics, Mechanical Design and Software Engineering.

Requirements

• The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
• Applicants must be: ‒Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution ‒Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or ‒Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
