About The Position

The Western Digital System Integration Test Lab, located in Rochester, MN, is seeking a Software Engineering Co-Op to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in OOP software development concepts and an interest in automation and storage device validation testing. This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.

Requirements

Students pursuing a BS/BA degree majoring in CS, CE, EE, or a related major
Experience utilizing object-oriented design concepts in projects
Familiarity with Linux-based systems via command line
Solid communication skills
Passion for problem-solving and learning new things

Responsibilities

Design, implement, document, and validate test automation framework improvements, test scripts, and bug fixes
Configure and debug enterprise servers, including storage device installation, OS setup, and network configuration
Actively participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand Up, Iteration Planning/Retrospective/Review, and Program Increment Planning/Retrospective
Participate in feature demonstrations to end users and management
