Additional information about the company can be found online at www.bwpipelines.com. We are currently looking for an Engineering Intern for our Lafayette, LA office. POSITION DESCRIPTION: BWP’s Measurement Engineering department is seeking a summer engineering intern. Throughout the course of the summer the candidate will learn current BWP practices for calculating the capacity of a measurement station. Current practices require the use of multiple vendor software packages. The end deliverable of the summer engineer will be to provide a single calculator for estimating a measurement station’s capacity at various input conditions.

Requirements

  • Passing grade in the following courses: Fluid Mechanics, Calculus II, and Physics
  • Strong mathematical skills and experience utilizing Microsoft excel to perform calculations
  • Majoring in an engineering discipline: mechanical, chemical, electrical etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred candidate would be either in their junior or senior year of current engineering program
  • Previous experience in the natural gas industry
