What You'll Do Our U.S. Electric Software Engineering team designs and builds software that streamlines communication between our organization’s various systems. This team focuses on reading data from one system, transforming it, and seamlessly delivering it to another – ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and reliability across our operations. As a Gridtern, you’ll collaborate closely with our engineers on the day-to-day work of planning, designing, and implementing software solutions. This experience will give you insight into real-world software development while allowing you to contribute meaningfully to projects that power our business. You will be in Waltham, MA working in a Hybrid structure for the summer. You must be located within a commutable distance to the identified work location for the summer.

Requirements

  • Availability to start on program start date, June 15, 2026, and work full-time (40 hours a week) throughout your duration of the summer
  • Registered in school as a full-time student and continuing education full-time for Fall 2026 Semester
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
  • Accumulated 18 or more credits and be 18 years of age
  • Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (including CPT & OPT)
