About The Position

Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. This internship will cover all stages of spacecraft radiation assurance including but not limited to space environment definition, complex system and circuit analysis and EEE component testing. The intern will assist in design setup and execution of component testing, analysis of radiation effects, and management and consolidation of tests and analysis data. The tools and processes developed during this internship will be added to the intellectual property of the radiation and reliability team at MSS. Over the course of our 10-12 week internship experience you will have the opportunity to: Adding value to the EEE part radiation database. Adding value to the EEE part test assets and procedures. Coordinating software development and implementation. Participate in cross‑organizational meetings to increase organization communication This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. These positions must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Additionally, some positions may require the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Requirements

  • Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Physics
  • Sophomore or higher
  • Practical lab experience test complex devices or investigation advanced topics
  • Python or similar coding proficiency
  • Spacecraft or space science experience preferred
  • These positions must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
