About The Position

The Edify Internship Program provides a unique opportunity for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors to learn firsthand about Edify's work and mission. Interns contribute their gifts and expertise across various departments, becoming an integral part of impactful work Edify operates in Africa and Latin America, offering three key resources to school owners around the world to improve and expand their schools: School leader and teacher training Loan capital Education technology Internship Dates: May 17 - July 24, 2026 Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina, or Northeast Indiana (Hybrid) Internships Available: Accounting, Marketing/Communications Compensation: Unpaid; however, a one-time stipend is provided Hours: 20 hours per week, primarily Mondays - Thursdays Internship roles include, but are not limited to: Contributing creative ideas and a fresh perspective Participating in ongoing and special projects Spiritual development (book studies and group discussions) Attending weekly and monthly phone/video meetings Learning about and experiencing different roles within the team Giving and receiving feedback on your experience throughout the internship process Three primary objectives for interns: Growth in relationship with Christ and understanding of a biblical worldview Improve skill set within a specific department in a mission-focused context Growth in the understanding of Christ-centered poverty alleviation and the importance of Christ-centered education

Requirements

  • Personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ
  • Passionate about Edify’s mission and global poverty alleviation
  • Interest in international development, community development and/or microfinance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Living example of servant leadership, humility, and willingness to learn
