Summer Camp Counselor (Seasonal)
About The Position
At LeafSpring Schools, we go beyond traditional child care. We create engaging, enriching environments where children grow, learn, and thrive — especially during our exciting Summer Camp program! We’re currently seeking Summer Camp Counselor to support our camp in creating a fun, safe, and memorable experience for children ages 5–13. If you enjoy being active, working with children, and bringing energy and positivity to each day, we’d love to meet you! The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for supervising and engaging campers throughout the day. This role ensures a safe, structured, and fun environment while leading activities, managing transitions, and supporting daily routines.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Experience working with children preferred but not required
- Energetic, positive, and patient
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay active and engaged throughout the day
- Dependable and punctual
Nice To Haves
- Previous summer camp experience
- Babysitting or childcare experience
- Interest in education, recreation, or child development
Responsibilities
- Supervise campers ages 5–13 at all times
- Set up, and lead games, activities, and group events
- Manage camper transitions (meals, outdoor play, field trips, etc.)
- Encourage participation and positive behavior
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all campers
- Assist with distributing meals and snacks
- Monitor campers closely to ensure safety at all times
- Help with cleaning up activity areas and shared spaces
- Follow all safety, licensing, and school policies
- Communicate concerns or incidents to leadership promptly
