Summer Camp Instructor- Group Leader
About The Position
Looking to gain leadership experience while you're in school? AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Group Leader , you'll help shape meaningful summer camp moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive. You'll gain valuable experience working with children and collaborating with a team. We're looking for an early learning professional who: Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
Nice To Haves
- Preferred child care experience of one year or more
- This role is ideal for students studying: Education Child Development Psychology Social Work Recreation or Youth Development
Responsibilities
- Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
- Make child safety the top priority at all times
- Keep the space clean and organized
- Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
- Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff
