About The Position

Summer Camp Intern – Paid Summer Intern Position at Snapology Location: Lancaster, PA Pay: $12–$15/hour Schedule: Part-time, varied schedule with weekday daytime hours, some early evenings, and occasional weekends Are you a high school junior or senior, recent graduate, or college student interested in teaching, childcare, or social work? Snapology is looking for energetic, dependable Summer Camp Interns who want a fun, hands-on summer job while gaining valuable real-world experience working with children in a STEM-based camp environment. Our STEM summer camps use LEGO® Bricks, robotics, and hands-on activities to engage children in science, engineering, technology, and creative play. As a Summer Camp Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced instructors and managers, gaining real-world experience working with children, providing classroom support, and assisting with program operations—all while having fun and making a difference.

Requirements

  • We especially encourage high school seniors, recent high school graduates, and college students to apply. Applicants entering 11th grade will also be considered.
  • Individuals interested in future careers in teaching, childcare, social work, human services, or related fields
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team players who enjoy working with kids
  • Applicants who are willing to learn, stay active, and support a variety of camp and event needs
  • Available for a varied summer schedule that may include weekdays, some early evenings, and occasional weekends
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as interns may assist with mobile programs and off-site community events
  • Able to pass required background checks, including child abuse history and criminal background checks

Responsibilities

  • Assist with STEM-based camp activities using LEGO® Bricks, robotics, engineering kits, and other hands-on materials
  • Support creative play and outdoor activities, helping children stay engaged and active
  • Help with camper check-in and check-out
  • Prepare materials, organize supplies, and assist with inventory
  • Help distribute snacks and assist during lunch
  • Support weekend programs and single-day mobile events at community locations, as needed
  • Work closely with experienced instructors and managers who will mentor and train you
