About The Position
The Summer Help - Landscape Services Associate plays a vital role in supporting the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor retail environments during the busy summer season. This position focuses on assisting with landscaping tasks that improve the aesthetic appeal and safety of retail properties, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for customers and employees alike. The associate will work closely with the landscaping team to execute planting, pruning, mulching, and general grounds upkeep, ensuring that all outdoor areas meet company standards. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old to comply with labor regulations for outdoor work.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of landscaping principles or willingness to learn on the job.
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned retail location within the United States.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or related outdoor maintenance work.
- Familiarity with the safe operation of landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Knowledge of plant care, pest control, and seasonal planting schedules.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays during the summer season.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, watering, pruning, and mulching of flowers, shrubs, and trees to maintain healthy and attractive landscapes.
- Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, leaf removal, and debris cleanup to ensure clean and safe outdoor areas.
- Operate landscaping tools and equipment safely and efficiently under supervision, including trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
- Support the landscaping team in setting up seasonal displays and preparing outdoor areas for special promotions or events.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a secure work environment for self and others.
