About The Position
MMWEC is seeking energetic, hardworking individuals for our Summer Help positions within the Facilities Department. This is a seasonal role only, perfect for students looking for a consistent summer job to return to year after year. Requirements
- Heat Tolerance: You are comfortable working outdoors in the summer heat and sun (sunscreen and hydration are a must!).
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle the physical nature of groundskeeping.
- Equipment Comfort: Experience operating (or a strong willingness to learn) diesel mowers and power tools.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to be on-site 5 days a week during the summer season.
- Safety Mindset: Ability to follow strict safety protocols while working around high-voltage solar infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Precision Mowing: Operate diesel mowers to maintain the MMWEC campus and specialized solar fields.
- Solar Field Care: Mowing and clearing vegetation around solar arrays to ensure maximum energy production.
- Facilities Support: Assist the maintenance team with seasonal campus upkeep and landscaping projects.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic daily checks on mowers and tools to keep operations running safely.
