Bureau/Division Overview
The mission of the Department of Revenue’s Child Support Services Division is to enhance the well-being of children by partnering with parents and caregivers to meet the financial needs of the family. Effective child support services are an essential part of the larger effort by the Commonwealth and the federal government to promote families' economic self-sufficiency.
DOR/CSS’s core functions are to establish parentage, and establish, enforce and modify child support and health insurance orders. Much of our success depends on collaborations with a wide variety of state agencies and private entities.
Position Summary
Interns will provide support to the Northern Regional office with a focus on pre-obligated case flow and legal processes. Interns will be responsible for reviewing subsets of the pre-obligated caseload to gather data, assist with identifying and increasing paternity referrals, identifying cases appropriate for court, and cases appropriate for closing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data integrity reviews of cases to correct errors.
• Contact customers via phone and/or email to solicit documentation and gather missing information.
• Complete research to supplement case information by accessing various systems, including documenting and uploading results.
• Work with various units on case referrals to move cases through the legal process.
