About The Position

An internship designed to provide on-the-job training and experience to college students. Engages in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform at an entry to mid-entry level position. Receives training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.

  • High school graduate or equivalent; enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit or college graduate seeking short-term work experience.
  • Credit must be in good standing.
  • Must be bondable pursuant to §713.3(b) of the NCUA’s Rules and Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Understands the overall concept of APFCU, including the brand, members, product goals and all other aspects of service.
  • Rotates through our divisions of responsibilities and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
  • As appropriate to the position and as specified by unit management, accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, proposes ideas and solutions, and presents final project during the internship.
  • Engages with employees and/or members and provides service.
  • Provides suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.
  • Learns and becomes proficient in internal software systems.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
