About The Position

The co-op/intern will support risk management activities, including building risk registers and supporting the team’s use of a new GRC tool, Standard Fusion.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong writing and editing skills, including report writing
  • Adept with Microsoft O365 applications (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • High digital literacy
  • SharePoint power user (i.e., built/maintained sites)
  • Strong time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with identification and assessment of operational, financial, compliance, and reputational risks.
  • Support ongoing risk assessments and risk validation, including reviewing controls and evaluating risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assist with maintaining the agency’s risk registers in the agency’s GRC tool.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as IT, Tax, Child Support, Finance, etc.).
  • Assisting with conducting research.
  • Participate in policy and procedure reviews to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with administrative tasks (such as preparing presentations and reports, assembling meeting agendas/notetaking, tracking project statuses, managing SharePoint sites, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting and providing general support on Microsoft O365 applications.
  • Support the Risk Management team in other daily responsibilities, as needed.
