Responsibilities Paid Internships at Production Resource Group are educational work experiences for individuals who wish to explore a career with PRG and/or develop hands-on knowledge and skill in the business of entertainment technology. PRG provides structured yet flexible programs where interns rotate through the various functions of a particular discipline, giving them a comprehensive overview of the different aspects of the field. The internship program is 12 weeks . The Summer Program runs approximately Mid to late May- Beg/Mid-August (dates may vary)

Requirements

  • Passion for Music and Live Music Production, with a desire to learn.
  • Strong people skills and ability to interface with important clients
  • High degree of organizational skill, problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • A willingness and flexibility to do “whatever it takes” for “whoever needs it” foster the growth and success of the business.
  • Ability to prioritize/execute to achieve desired company and project goals with prudence and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to travel or got to show site if the opportunity arises
  • General computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Salesforce.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or higher-level degree program in theatre or entertainment
  • Have received an appropriate degree within the past two years
  • Have appropriate background in the entertainment technology industry
  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time

  • Some onsite/production experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Shadow Coordinators to learn PRG Music Sales Process Contracting Insurance Certificates Billing/Accounting Month-End Process
  • Shadow warehouse departments from cable onward to understand warehouse flow/gear and operational process
  • Shadow Project Coordinators to understand the prep/crew/order workflow
  • Shadow Project Managers to understand disciplines/budgeting process/solutioning/scheduling and AMS
  • Shadow NextGen Account Executives to learn the sales process. Customer Repoire Sales cycle Techniques and strategies
  • Train in Salesforce and assist in creating opportunities as they come in from Account executives or project managers.
  • Learn and assist in the quoting process/proposals.
  • Maintaining the details of salesforce opportunities.
