Job Summary: The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking a graduate or advanced undergraduate student with preferred majors in Economics, Statistics, or Data Science. This opening requires the selected candidate to be in office four times a week with one day working remotely. The work schedule is Monday – Friday (40 hour per week). This is a 10-week paid internship. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00-$28.00 per hour depending on the candidate's education. What You Will Do: The intern will assist with research focused on financial risks to banks. The RADAR (Risk Assessment, Data Analysis, and Research) team at FRB-Philadelphia provides data and analytics to advance banking supervisory work. The intern will work on all aspects of research, including cleaning, preparing, and analyzing data, running empirical tests, and writing the results. This is an excellent opportunity to support the mission of the Federal Reserve and gain valuable research experience. What You Will Do: The intern will be working on the Securities Evaluation Services (SES) team within the Supervision, Regulation and Credit department. The SES team focuses on topics related to fixed income securities. As such, we are looking for an intern that has great interest in the fixed income markets. The intern will provide support on a with a wide range of efforts surrounding a database where the SES team stores fixed income information from examinations. This database can provide valuable horizontal information back to examination teams. The selected intern can expect to: Cleanse the data Develop new templates used by SES analysts for examinations Study horizontal behaviors to generate presentations and products The intern may also be asked to assist various projects related to Stress Testing related to the Securities and Fair Value Option models.
