About The Position

The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in biology, environmental science, wildlife biology, or a closely related field. They should be eager to gain first‑hand experience conducting wildlife, fisheries, and other biological surveys along the Las Vegas Wash and at the Warm Springs Natural Area. The candidate should be comfortable working irregular hours—such as early mornings or late nights—to ensure high‑quality data collection. Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related field (e.g., chemistry, water resource, hydrology).
  • Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Available to work 40 hours weekly.
  • A valid Nevada driver’s license
  • Legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off-campus.
