About The Position

ABC57 News in South Bend, Indiana is offering an exciting internship opportunity for creative college students who are passionate about pursuing a career in Broadcasting and Journalism. All interns will receive an hourly rate of pay.

Requirements

• Must be able to commit 20 hours per week to the internship
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, or an equivalent academic track
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and have excellent interpersonal skills
• Willing to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift when necessary

Responsibilities

• Work side by side with professionals in our news, weather, and creative services department
• Accompany news crews on field shoots and gain exposure to reporting
• Assist with day-to-day tasks in the newsroom
• Provide support to producers, reporters, and creative staff
• Gain immersive, hands-on experience in the day to day operations of a working newsroom
