We are seeking individuals for our 2026 Summer RISE Intern roles who have a mindset open to learning and growth, and a desire to make a difference. Veranova is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of complex active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for pharma and biotech customers. With deep technical expertise and impressive flexibility, we develop solutions and processes that support and accelerate innovation.  The Capital Engineering Intern will be responsible for assisting the Capital Engineering team members on the execution of site engineering improvements. These improvements include process and safety improvements, new/upgraded technology implementation and strategic capital investments that will allow Veranova enter the high potent API and bioconjugate markets. Our program consists of a 10–12-week internship at our Devens, MA location.

Requirements

  • Working towards a BS in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum Overall GPA of 2.7 required
  • Must be able to interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a true career aspiration to be a leader
  • Must be adaptable, strive for excellence, and demonstrate a positive attitude in the face of adversity
  • Strong interpersonal skills a must, coupled with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Team oriented and able to work efficiently in a project driven environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills essential
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US

Responsibilities

  • Assist CE team with site level capex projects from all points of the project life cycle, from initiation to final installation.
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple departments to drive process changes while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Assist with troubleshooting efforts related to processing and process equipment problems.
  • Identify process improvements that enhance the overall efficiency and cost effectiveness of the Pharmaceutical Materials production processes.
  • Work with contractors to organize timelines for installations, identify and mitigate risks associated with potential shutdowns for installations
  • Walk down process lines and equipment to prepare for equipment installation
