The Summer Internship Development Program at Versant Health is designed to help you explore your career, learn our business, and develop as a young professional. Throughout the course of this 8-week summer internship opportunity, you will engage in professional and career development workshops, attend fireside chat series with Versant Health’s senior leaders and complete a capstone project. Versant Health: Making Healthy Vision a Reality for Everyone Scope and Purpose of Position: This individual will be learning the Billing and AR collections processes to support the decrease of over 90 balances across all Aging’s. Working with our Collections Supervisor and Sr. Analysts, this individual will also support month-end cash balancing and process improvement implementations around our collections and month-end processing.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program
  • Preferred fields of study: Business Administration and Finance
  • Required school classifications: Current Juniors and Seniors only
  • Required GPA: 3.0 and above
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications to include Excel and Word documents
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Excel formulas and pivot tables
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service focused

  • Team player

As a component of job roles and responsibilities, Associates may have access to covered information, cardholder data or other confidential customer information which must be protected at all times. As a result, Associates must explicitly adhere to all data security guidelines established within the Company’s Privacy & Security Training Program.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the Collection letters process and work to support the current process as well as the development of the new one by testing and identifying issues with the new process
  • Support the Aging analysis, Group and Provider outreach
  • Reconcile Accounts Receivable transactions and group accounts to the General Ledger and AR Aging for month end close
  • Email past due accounts for collection
