Connected Roots Care Center (CRCC) defines what comprehensive child care looks like. We are a unique child care and therapy center that supports children and young adults, whether they are typically developing or have developmental, behavioral, or medical needs. At CRCC, nurses, therapists, and educators work together to provide care in a community where every child is understood, supported, and able to thrive. A day in the Life of Our Interns:Summer Camp Support Staff are responsible for assisting with the implementation of the educational program, activities of daily living (ADL’s), and personal cares with assistance of a teacher or paraprofessional for CRCC clients and provide positive behavioral supports to classroom staff. Interns will also be required to participate in CRCC's Educational, Healthcare and Administrative Professions Job Shadow Experience. This job shadow exposes interns to 10 different career paths within CRCC including Rehab Therapy, Nursing, Business/Finance/Development, HR, Communications and Admissions all along while working in a classroom gaining experience in Early Childhood Education. Interns will be required to complete a survey and write a summary following each job shadow. At the end of the program, interns will complete a social media project with our Communications Coordinator highlighting their experience at CRCC. The starting wage for this position is $15 per hour. The summer intern must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours and up to 40 hours per week. Both 4 hour and 8 hour shifts will be required during this internship.
