Summer Medical Student Research Assistant - Neurology (Movement Disorder Programs)
About The Position
The Summer Medical Student Research Assistant in the Department of Neurology will support the Movement Disorders Program in ongoing clinical and translational research focused on Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia, and related movement disorders. Through this experience, the student will gain hands-on exposure to academic neurology and clinical research while developing a deeper understanding of movement disorders and research design. The role also includes completing a research project suitable for presentation, as well as building essential skills in data collection and scientific writing.

- Current medical student.
- This position requires enrollment in a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have advanced knowledge, analytical skills and professional competencies necessary to perform the duties of the position. Responsibilities
- Assist with data abstraction and data entry.
- Conduct literature reviews and support a mentored research project.
- Participate in clinical research team meetings.
- Support clinical trial activities (non-procedural).
- Observe movement disorder clinic evaluations (as appropriate).
