About The Position

June 1st.

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for performing delegated
activities to support the operating room team in the care of the surgical
patient. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, Core Charge RN, and Core
Supervisor, the Sterile Processing Technician prepares and delivers
medical/surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
The Sterile Processing Technician cleans, packages, and processes surgical
equipment and instrumentation, as well as maintains inventory and storage of
supplies in the core. The Sterile Processing Technician manages multiple
computer applications to assist with sterilization tracking and processes.
Responsible to operate and troubleshoot power equipment to process instruments
(i.e. autoclaves, washer disinfector, ultrasonic cleaners).
