About The Position

Spend Your Summer Helping Children And Youth At The YMCA Camp Coffman. These positions include mentoring and other outdoor summer activities for children and youth attending the summer camps at Camp Coffman. Keystone SMILES is a nonprofit located in Knox which provides summer AmeriCorps (work) opportunities for nonprofits helping to provide safe places with positive role models and a variety of activities during the summer months. Positions will be shared between the Clarion and Oil City sites where members begin their day of service (work) and travel with youth on buses to the camp for the day Monday-Friday. Applicants may apply for these positions living in either Clarion or Venango Counties. AmeriCorps is a national service movement engaging thousands of men and women of all ages and backgrounds in service sometimes referred to as the "Domestic Peace Corps", aimed at meeting the needs in the areas of Education, Public Safety, Environment, and Human Services. Schedule: Monday – Friday - Full Time, Daytime Hours (occasional evening / weekend hours) AmeriCorps Position and Benefits - 450 Hour Term May 12th - Last Day: August 14th May 19th - Last Day: August 19th Education Award - $1,956.35 Total Living Allowance - $6,300 Accepted applicants will participate in a one-day pre-service orientation their first day of service via virtual training .
