About The Position

As a job coach, you will be responsible for job coaching participants in the Summer Youth Work Experience Program. The coach will provide job readiness training and ongoing coaching for participants with disabilities and other barriers to employment. The job coach supports participants as they learn how to perform their job successfully.

Requirements

• Must be 18 yrs. or older.
• Must have a valid drivers license and be able to meet driving requirements for Insurance purposes.
• Meet security requirements (BCI Background check or FBI if not lived in Ohio for the last 5 years, Systems for Awards Management, Office of the Inspector General, DODD online abuser registry, Medicaid provider Exclusions and Suspension list, Ohio Attorney General sex offender search, ODRC Offender search, Ohio Dept. of Health Nurse Aide Registry).
• Work unsupervised for long periods of time.
• Willing to complete First Aid and CPR certification during designated training session.
• Able to compose detailed notes and complete paperwork to maintain accurate records.
• Stand for 4 hours as well as bend, lift, stoop, squat and reach.
• Must pass a pre-employment Drug Test.

• Experience training or coaching people. Education is not required but is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Job coaching participants in the Summer Youth Work Experience Program
• Provide job readiness training
• Provide ongoing coaching for participants with disabilities and other barriers to employment
• Support participants as they learn how to perform their job successfully
• Pick up company assigned vehicle at Newark or Mount Vernon
• Drive to pick up participant at their home
• Drive participants to their designated worksite
• Coach the participant with their job duties for their 4-hour shift and take notes
• Drive the participant home
• Drop off vehicle at the same location you picked it up
• Complete paperwork
