Superintendent – Healthcare - Southeast Michigan
About The Position
Healthcare construction demands precision. Patients are receiving care while you build. Clark's Alpena office is seeking a Superintendent to lead field execution on healthcare projects across Southeast Michigan - from surgical suites to phased hospital renovations. This role exists because infection control, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity cannot fail. You'll coordinate work inside occupied facilities where safety and discipline are non-negotiable. Based in Auburn Hills, serving healthcare clients across Southeast Michigan - ideal candidates may live near Detroit, Ann Arbor, Troy, Novi, or Sterling Heights. We pair technical rigor with steady leadership. You'll have autonomy in the field, executive support behind you, and access to self-perform capabilities when complexity demands control. And you'll build spaces that directly impact patient care.
Requirements
- 5+ years as a Superintendent
- Strong MEP coordination capability
- Deep understanding of infection control and phased work
- Disciplined leadership in 24/7 environments
- Commitment to safety and operational awareness
- Proficiency with Phoenix, ProjectSight, Bluebeam
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare construction experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead daily execution in occupied healthcare facilities
- Coordinate phasing around clinical operations
- Enforce ICRA and infection control protocols
- Manage trade sequencing and schedule adherence
- Maintain documentation and daily reporting
- Conduct weekly trade coordination meetings
- Drive quality closeout and inspection readiness
- Build strong relationships with facility operations teams
