Supervises aspects of the accounting department and coordinates the implementation of accounting controls.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, in Accounting, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
5 years of previous experience (in addition to education requirement)
Responsibilities
Supervises monthly close activities.
Prepares or oversees preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting statements and reports.
Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.
Analyzes and reconciles financial information and general ledger accounts and other reports.
Prepares and analyzes forecasts and projections.
Provides financial support to district managers and maintenance managers.
Trains, conducts evaluations, and manages productivity of employees.
Approves AP invoices and P-card transactions.
Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
