The Supervisor Denials Management facilitates staff and organizational meetings, evaluates and coordinates staffing levels, and promotes the activities, initiatives and decisions made by Altru and the Finance Team. This individual monitors billing; follows up and supports Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI); develops, implements and monitors reporting mechanisms for revenue producing areas; and provides reporting of denial trending and developing thresholds of data that mark changes in payments from third parties. Acts as a liaison for physician services and all departments; contacts third party payors and PPO networks proactively; develops, implements and monitors appeals process for claims recovery strategies; demonstrates an understanding of the department/system budget; assists in maintenance, enhancement and problem solving of the patient accounting system; and is responsible for analysis of third-party remittances.
