About The Position

The Supervisor, Distribution oversees daily shipping operations and distribution associates to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment, inbound inspection, returns processing, and transportation coordination. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient workflows, managing departmental supplies, upholding operational standards, and ensuring compliance with quality systems, regulatory, and privacy requirements. The Supervisor partners cross‑functionally to support operational improvements, audits shipping costs, and contributes to the development and performance of distribution staff.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of previous experience in the support of a shipping/receiving department required

Responsibilities

  • Supervise shipping and distribution associates across all aspects of departmental workflow, ensuring timely and accurate completion of responsibilities
  • Support order processing and expediting activities as needed to address staffing shortages or fluctuations in volume
  • Complete departmental reports and required documentation accurately and on a timely basis, distributing as appropriate
  • Coordinate weekly returns and outbound shipments to manufacturers for repair and replacement
  • Audit transportation invoices for accuracy, including charges and routing; review packing slips and submitting documentation to Accounts Payable, reporting discrepancies as necessary
  • Operate and monitor shipping, tracking, and related computer systems to ensure job completion and visibility
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs of the department to confirm task completion, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of departmental supplies and place orders as needed
  • Collaborate with other department support teams on operational improvement initiatives and special projects
  • In partnership with the Corporate Management Representative, ensure adherence to ISO requirements and completion of all Quality Management System (QMS) documentation
  • Comply with all QMS standards and applicable regulations to promote a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace
  • Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and proprietary company policies and procedures, including HIPAA; comply with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Participate in required training and educational activities to meet departmental goals, professional standards, and organizational requirements
  • Ensure daily cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment, workstations, and the overall facility
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
