About The Position

We are looking for an Engineering Supervisor to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. Your Responsibilities: The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a defined engineering function to ensure effective execution of design, implementation, and ongoing engineering support activities. This role serves as a first-line people leader by managing team performance, supervising technical work across project phases, supporting system requirements and specifications, and ensuring adherence to established procedures, standards, and policies to drive operational efficiency and immediate team performance. Ensure engineering work is executed in accordance with established technical standards, procedures, policies, and schedules while supporting safe, compliant, and efficient operations. Support system requirements and specification development across multiple project phases by reviewing technical inputs and making recommendations that impact engineering and related divisional activities. Manage team performance by assigning work, monitoring progress, and evaluating results to ensure quality outcomes and timely delivery . Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate assigned staff by providing day-to-day leadership, performance feedback, and development support . Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or leading engineers or technical staff within an engineering or operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of engineering design, construction, installation, and support activities relevant to the assigned function.
  • Experience overseeing technical execution and ensuring compliance with procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Ability to manage workload, priorities, and performance for a small team or defined operational area.
  • Strong communication , leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear direction and performance feedback.
  • Sound judgment in addressing routine operational, personnel, and technical matters.
  • Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
