The Financial Counseling Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operational work and supervision of the Patient Financial Advocates and Patient Billing Resolution Specialist teams. Creates and inspires a team environment by developing high performing and engaged staff. This individual must have the ability to travel to care sites and clinics within, and across state lines. Is a subject matter expert and point of escalation to remove barriers, meet KPI’s and the successful achievement of department and organizational goals. Essential Functions Supervises the day-to-day operations of the financial counseling department. Supervision of personnel, participating in employee and patient relations and quality management. Acts as an extension for identified HR support functions. Leads team huddles and monthly check-ins. Completes annual performance reviews. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met for quality, compliance and schedule adherence. Coordinates works activities with other supervisors and managers within and other departments. Identifies and resolves areas of opportunities using defined processes, expertise and judgment. Provides coaching and feedback to team members. Promotes support through an environment of teamwork and patient centered care. Collaborate with other departments within the organization in addressing patient’s coverage and financial health needs, communicating progress and outcomes as necessary. Promote, support, and track established KPIs, for department and organization. Commitment to process improvement and streamlining workflows in response to healthcare and regulatory updates. Ability to travel to care sites and clinics within and across state lines, with overnight stays Performs other duties as assigned
