About The Position

Under the general direction of the Manager of Support Services, the Food Services Specialist assist in managing and coordinating the operation of a large and/or multiple food service production/service unit(s). Prepares and serves food as needed. All employees are expected to be pleasant, respectful and courteous in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and visitors of the Institute, as well as being a positive representative of the hospital at all times. Requirements

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of a food service-related program, such as hotel and/or restaurant management., Or Certified Dietary Manager or 4 years of food service institutional or restaurant management experience.
  • Upon hire: National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority

Nice To Haves

  • Upon hire: ServSafe Manager Certification - National Restaurant Association
