About The Position

Manages teams directly or indirectly who ensure the prompt and efficient execution of field orders related to emergency response, establishment of gas service, response to customer-generated field requests related to gas appliances, and Company equipment compliance and maintenance work for PG&E facilities. Oversees field services and locate & mark work in a defined geographic region. Provides safe gas services while maintaining compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements. Promotes safety leadership and a safety culture among all employees for themselves, customers, and the general public. This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening. PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent
Must possess a valid California Driver’s License or equivalent on day one of hire
5 years of operational experience
Subject to random DOT drug and alcohol testing
Travel within PG&E’s service territory is required

Responsibilities

Ensures work group safely and efficiently completes customer requests that are received.
Manages emergency response to service requests and equipment maintenance, ensuring employees respond in a timely manner and provide quality service.
Ensures consistency and adherence to compliance requirements.
Anticipates, identifies and mitigates potential customer issues before they escalate into a significant problem.
Engages employees in process improvements and takes action on their feedback.
Manages a team of union-represented employees.
Ensures compliance with legal, Federal and State regulations.
Contacts customers and work with internal and external resources to resolve advanced and complex issues within mandated timeframes.
Manages Emergency response.
Promotes employee engagement at every level of the operation with a focus on sustained and improved performance.
Ensures work in assigned area is completed on time, within budget and quality expectations while adhering to safety and regulatory compliance.
