About The Position

Will supervise and coordinate a team of Inventory Control Specialists to maintain inventory integrity; lead site cycle counts and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with First Solar standards and procedures. This role is responsible for implementing training programs, assessing associate proficiency, and refining operational processes across the supply chain—from vendor docks to manufacturing delivery points. Key responsibilities include resolving system-related issues, and leading internal and external compliance audits. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, process improvement expertise, and the ability to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and two (2) years supervisory experience in supervisory, warehouse, inventory control, and/or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse and inventory control concepts (FIFO, FEFO, Kanban, cycle counting practices, etc.).
  • Proven organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent understanding of computer applications (MS Office suite programs, WMS/ERP systems, etc.).
  • Proven developmental and training skills.
  • Ability to foster a strong safety culture and practice in the workplace.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
  • Collaboration skills across multiple functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience implementing training and measurement programs preferred.
  • Six Sigma and/or lean certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the supervision of associates performing Inventory Control activities, including training new associates and overseeing attendance and performance management to foster a high-performing team environment.
  • Lead planned cycle counts and associated reports.
  • Resolve inventory integrity issues to ensure predictable and reliable signals within the manufacturing and supply chain functions.
  • Responsible for understanding how to properly use material handling equipment safely and properly.
  • Document common systematic issues and develop an improvement plan.
  • Serve as a primary contact for internal and external inventory management audits.
  • Accountable for Warehouse end to end process/system & continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for accurate work instructions & procurement to meet SOX and ISO requirements.
  • Responsible for evaluating KPIs related to inventory management operations and implementing corrective actions to support continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for supporting a safety culture and practices in the warehouse operation among the associates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
