The Material Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the organization, planning and implementation of Stockrooms workflow. This role will manage the department’s compliance with Spirit Airlines Controlled Manuals, SOP’s, and FAA, IATA, DOT, IOSA, OSHA and local government/ordinance requirements. Review and address Department Controls. Manage Shelf-life program. Oversees HAZMAT Material Handling, Storage and Shipping. Monitors and approves HAZMAT Shipments and ensures 100% compliance of regulated requirements and trained personnel. Improve productivity and find creative, value-adding improvements to the operations IAW SOP’s and Controlled Manuals. Manage Materials and Tooling that requires special handling, calibration, and storage. Review stock levels, tooling requirements and recommends adjustments to Inventory Management. The scope of the Supervisor includes Material Logistic Specialist time keeping and PTO management, and aircraft parts receiving function as required per location. KPI Review – completes department reports on-time and accurately. Stockroom Audits – maintains stockrooms within compliance of Safety, FAA, QA, and Department standards that comply with scheduled or unannounced audits. Performs supplemental self-audits and knowledge checks to gage and recommend station improvements and mitigate internal Audit findings. Analyzes and recommends strategic solutions to develop automation and upgrade systems and procedures to reduce operational inefficiencies to align with corporate initiatives. Presents findings and recommendations at all levels of the organization. Mentors and motivates a Team to develop and implement solutions in a fast paced, time-sensitive, and financially constrained environment. Oversees programs and regulatory requirements to ensure accuracy, standardization, and compliance with regulatory agencies. Coordinates revisions, updates, and modifications to maintain program accuracy and integrity with other departments. Develops, maintains, and delivers regulatory programs throughout the Material Operations Teams, Warehouses and Stockrooms. Reviews operational reports with particular attention to operational issues, operational inefficiencies; thus, providing input to prevent or correct station/network performance. Shelf-Life Program – oversees stockroom shelf-life compliance program. Training Compliance - schedules new training and recurrent training for stockroom personnel via Spirit U, On-board training, HAZMAT Shippers training and any additional required courseware. Coordinates OJT process for new hires and ensures ongoing compliance for Team Member training programs. Ensures inventory accuracy, coordinates stockrooms cycle counts provided by Inventory Management, reviews daily adjustments and operational stock levels. Supervises projects from start to finish utilizing 6S Principals. Ensures and enforces HAZMAT and GHS compliance with receiving, handling, separating, storing, and shipping of all materials IAW IATA, DOT and OSHA Standards in the Stockroom and Tooling Environments. Including, recovery procedures, storage and disposal of all HAZMAT and GHS materials are following EPA and local airport and government agencies within the Stockroom and Tooling Environments. Partners with Talent Acquisition Team on hiring of Material Logistics Specialists, Lead and Admin roles. May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergency change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
