Department: Job Description Summary: Position Responsibilities Ensure Environmental Services operations remain fully compliant with Joint Commission Environment of Care (EC), Infection Prevention (IC), and Life Safety (LS) standards. Provides direction in the application of Environmental and Infection Control standards and organizational goals. Collaborates with the Director to manage department operations through planning, direction, and problem solving, as reflected in service performance indicators such as NRC Patient Scores Works daily with Nurse Managers and ancillary supervisors to ensure cleanliness standards and quality of EVS services. Assists leadership in explaining operational decisions to staff, medical staff, administration, and patients. Conduct routine rounding to verify cleanliness, sanitation, and infection prevention practices across all assigned areas. Remains available 24 hours for emergency situations. Demonstrates the ability to prioritize issues and resolve operational problems quickly. Follows up on unresolved issues from coordinators during off shifts or weekends. Maintains overtime levels within approved limits. Monitors and operates the Bed Tracking System effectively. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Five years' experience as an environmental service coordinator, team leader or lead person in industrial/hotel or health care facility.
