About The Position

Reporting to the Manager of Adult Outpatient Mental Health, the Clinical Supervisor provides clinical and administrative supervision across community mental health programs. This role will focus on the First Intervention Treatment Team (FITT) and the Pathways Program. A focus will be on adopting the Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) standards and the NAVIGATE model and enhancing our community mental health programs to support the offering of high-quality, recovery-oriented, client-centred care. Through hands-on supervision, collaboration, and quality improvement, the position advances SHN’s mission of delivering evidence-based, integrated mental health services with strong community partnerships and actualize the goals of the Mental Health Program being recognized as a Centre of Excellence

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant regulated health profession (MSW, OT, RN).
  • Current registration in good standing with applicable regulatory college.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in mental health services
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision and program leadership.
  • Knowledge of psychosis and evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT for Psychosis, Cognitive Remediation Therapy).
  • Strong crisis intervention, risk assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centred care, health equity, and quality improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom).

  • Ability to speak another language
  • Experience working within Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) programs.
  • Knowledge of the NAVIGATE model and fidelity requirements.
  • Experience in community mental health systems and cross-sector collaboration (health, housing, justice).
  • Public speaking, education, and community outreach experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and implement evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the quality improvement projects in Outpatient Mental Health
  • Provide clinical and operational supervision for the FITT/EPI program, ensuring fidelity to provincial standards and the NAVIGATE model.
  • Supervise, coach, and support interdisciplinary staff through regular meetings, clinical guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee intake, enrollment, treatment planning, and care transitions to ensure timely, coordinated, and client-centred service delivery.
  • Lead team meetings, case reviews, and family-inclusive treatment planning processes.
  • Monitor program quality, clinical outcomes, and documentation standards; support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to strengthen referral pathways, integrated care, and system coordination.
