About The Position

The Supervisor Production is responsible for driving high production performance, exceptional product quality, and strong yields—while maintaining the safest working environment possible. Success in this position requires a solid understanding of the production process, accurate recordkeeping, and oversight of line maintenance and staffing. This position plays a key part in ensuring daily operations run smoothly, supporting both production goals and team member development.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills helpful.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
  • Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
  • Travel: 1-5 trips per year.
  • Shift: This is a 2nd shift position
  • Location: This is an onsite position at the Obion County, TN Plant

Responsibilities

  • Review daily production orders to ensure all customer orders are fully met.
  • Confirm all positions are properly staffed prior to production start-up.
  • Lead Team Member morning exercises and manage job rotation to support ergonomics and wellness.
  • Ensure all machinery operates at optimal performance levels.
  • Verify that all workstations meet USDA Inspection standards before production begins.
  • Foster a strong safety culture through daily practices and monthly safety meetings.
  • Ensure accuracy in shipments, proper inventory rotation, and correct product coding.
  • Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
  • Provide day-to-day encouragement and build a strong, engaged team.
  • Perform essential human relations functions—including training, retention support, and counseling on both personal and professional matters.
  • Oversee various processing operations and collaborate with fellow supervisors to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of reworked or returned products.
  • Reinforce the importance of product quality through continuous education.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support operations and team success.
