Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality & Logistics Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operation of in-plant inspection and shipping logistics within the Hunt Valley, MD production facilities.

Able to work autonomously, with limited direction.
Excellent computer skills, especially with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel)

Strong interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Experience with the Defense Contract Management Agency a plus.
Variation Reduction and Waste Elimination skills. Green/Black Belt certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the leadership of a team of nonexempt employees (Inspectors/Shippers).
Provide leadership to ensure safe work areas, environments, practices, and behaviors.
Manage resources to optimize productivity and cost effectiveness.
Leverage Sales and Operating Planning methodologies to optimize balance between demand and supply.
Ensure compliance and execution associated with the Quality Management Systems
Plans, organizes and assigns the workflow of the team and ensures that safety and quality standards are met and production schedules are achieved following Manufacturing / Quality established methods
Instructs assigned personnel on processes, policies and procedures and coordinates with staff and designated support groups to resolve problems.
Plans, organizes, and makes work assignments consistent with job classifications and employee ability.
Responsibilities include technical interpretation and compliance with prescribed Manufacturing / Quality / Test processes and procedures.
Maintain shipping documentation, including records of shipments, Certificates of Conformance, etc.
Prepare and analyze shipping reports to identify opportunities for process improvements for efficiency gains and cost reduction
Optimize the use of shipping tools, materials, and resources
Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international shipping regulations.
Provide a strong focus on developing talent throughout the organization
