About The Position

Sentara Health is seeking and experienced Supervisor, Supply Chain to join their team at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA! This is a full time, day shift role. The Supervisor for Supply Chain reports to the Supply Chain Manager of the applicable hospital and oversees daily operational activities of supply chain associates in areas of inventory management and receiving. The Supervisor will represent Supply Chain with the respective hospital leadership in conjunction and in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager. Trains, coaches, mentors and supervises all Supply Chain Associate I & II. Creates and maintains a work schedule for Supply Chain Associates that ensures hospital needs are met as it related to the distribution of products managed under Supply Chain. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality services that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Assist in the training and development of a highly motivated team that work efficiently and effectively in providing services to hospital departments and operating centers. Act as department lead when necessary. Achieve system, hospital and departmental goals and objectives. Supports and communicates Sentara mission, values, and goals.

Requirements

  • HS - High School Grad or Equivalent
  • 5 years of Supply Chain

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3 years of Supervisory Experience preferred
