In this role, under the supervision of the Manager of Environmental Services/Linen Services, you will assist in coordinating the distribution activities of the Linen Services Department and functions in a direct employee capacity for department operations in accordance with established procedures. Additionally, you will supervise the work activities of linen personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive, timely delivery of clean linen throughout the hospital and the collection of soil returns. Distributes work assignments and recommends need for additional equipment. This position includes supervisory responsibility. This position shift is for Evening Time 3 pm -11 pm, with weekends and holiday rotation, and coverage for supervisor staff on other shifts when necessary. Requirements

  • Associates Degree
  • Minimum two years of previous work-related experience
  • Basic knowledge of EVS and laundry, preferably in a large institution
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent supervisory skills
  • Familiarity with computers and MS suite
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission Standards and Quality Assurance
  • Competency in carrying on staff HR responsibilities
  • All roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP
