About The Position

Based at our Shakopee, MN location, the Supplier Performance Engineering Internship offers the chance to work directly with cross-functional teams to improve material review processes and enhance production part approval procedures. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of materials used in our manufacturing operations, while gaining exposure to global supply chain dynamics and engineering best practices. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Ensure material quality by managing incoming inspections and providing expert guidance to both local and global manufacturing sites. Collaborate with design engineers and suppliers to ensure technical specifications are clearly communicated and consistently met. Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans, material verification methods, and quality control procedures. Drive process improvements by supporting enhancements to the material review and production part approval processes. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, commodity teams, operations, and engineering teams to foster alignment and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering
  • Zero (0) years related experience
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s in Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials Science, and Mechanical Engineering
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Prior internship experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
